As part of the Quality Assurance team, based in Pakenham, Victoria - you will maintain product quality & food safety standard compliances across the business and support our Production team to produce all products Right First Time.
**The Role**
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager your days will vary with key responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Assist with management of the HACCP support programs.
- Verify production monitoring activities to ensure our Production team always produces a safe product, Right First Time to required quality standards.
- Provide input and assistance to Manufacturing, NPD, Maintenance and Warehouse Teams, to maintain the process and product quality and safety across the business.
- Investigate and provide feedback in a timely manner on allocated Customer Complaints.
- Conduct and present on Product Assessments.
- Manage the non-conforming product hold product, ensuring non-conforming product is reviewed and assessed in a timely manner and assist with disposition decisions.
- Conduct product and environmental testing for microbiological, allergen and chemical testing as per the requirements of the business testing schedule.
- Effectively conduct investigations to identify root cause of issues. (Quality, contamination, CCP breaches. etc), minimising any adverse effect on the business.
- Participate in 3rd party and internal audits.
**To Be Successful**
As a passionate and experienced Quality professional you will bring;
- Experience in a similar Quality Assurance position (food experience preferred).
- Tertiary Qualification in a food science or extensive experience in the baking or food manufacturing industry. (Essential)
- Knowledge of microbiological, chemical and allergens regarding food safety and compliance.
- Confident, assertive and clear communication skills.
- Ability to operate independently with mínimal supervision.
- Flexibility and be a team player: happy to play a hands on role to support manufacturing operations.
- Curiosity to challenge the status quo and be inquisitive to find the root cause of an issue.
- Attention to detail: demonstrated high level of thoroughness, attention to detail and accuracy.
