Your role extends beyond internal processes, involving active collaboration with stakeholders across mental health services and government departments. This collaborative effort aims to ensure the effective operation of mental health legislation, particularly concerning its interface with the criminal justice system. Furthermore, your involvement in policy development and compliance monitoring will be instrumental in advancing consumer outcomes and shaping strategies for ongoing improvement in mental health service provision.
The successful personTo excel in this position, it's essential to possess a deep understanding of the Mental Health Act 2016 and relevant disability legislation, coupled with a keen awareness of safeguards protecting the rights of mental health service users. You'll navigate a demanding workload adeptly, ensuring alignment with the Chief Psychiatrist's mandates under the Mental Health Act 2016, while also demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of the interface between mental health and criminal justice systems.
Moreover, you'll showcase advanced project management abilities alongside strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Your capacity to negotiate and liaise effectively, representing the agency's interests with senior stakeholders, will be crucial in managing complex relationships within sensitive contexts.
