**The Opportunity**

Reporting to the Hospitality Coordinator we are actively seeking experienced Hospitality Assistants to join our team on a **Permanent Part Time** basis. As part of our hospitality team, Cleaners are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of our homes.

**Tuesday 1600-1945 & Wednesday 1530-1930 plus additional temp shifts supporting leave and unplanned leave within the home.**

**The Role**

The Care Services Assistant plays a pivotal frontline carer role with a particular focus on **nutrition and dining,** supporting residents to live a life of fulfilment through the delivery of person-centred care and support according to needs and preferences of each resident in everyday practice. **Assisting in the preparation, delivery, presentation and serving of resident meals**. Your responsibilities will be to provide care and support aligned with residents’ preferred daily routines with a strong focus on:

- Meal choices and individual nutrition
- Consideration of allergies and food intolerances
- Enhancing the overall dining experience
- Assist residents with meal selection and meal timing preferences
- Prepare and set up dining areas to meet individual needs and preferences
- Actively engage with residents to provide social and emotional support during mealtimes
- Use empathy and kindness to foster a positive dining experience
- Promote resident choice and control to uphold dignity and respect
- Prepare and maintain dining experience areas and provide meal service to meet individual resident choices
- Maintain accurate nutrition and diet information as required
- Assist with quality food preparation in accordance with the Food Safety Plan, Bolton Clarke Food Standards and Dining Framework
- Assist with maintaining kitchen stock supplies as required

**To be successful, you will have**
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- A compassionate and caring attitude
- Previous restaurant and/or commercial kitchen experience (highly regarded)
- Willingness to take direction from others
- Reliability and shift flexibility
- Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
- Valid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc)
- Complete a police check
- Seasonal Flu vaccinations (or willingness to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement) cost refunded on appointment / and or a National Police check
- Evidence of Covid-19 vaccination
