About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable female Personal Care Support Worker to provide high-quality care and daily living assistance to an elderly male client who is bedridden. The ideal candidate will have experience in personal care and supporting clients with limited mobility in a respectful and dignified manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care assistance, including showering, toileting, grooming, and dressing.
  • Assist with feeding and hydration, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met.
  • Perform bed and linen changes, repositioning, and maintaining client comfort.
  • Support with continence care and maintaining hygiene routines.
  • Monitor and report any changes in the client's health or wellbeing.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for the client.
  • Engage with the client respectfully, promoting dignity and independence wherever possible.

Requirements:

  • Must be female (client preference for personal care needs).
  • Previous experience in aged care, disability, or personal support preferred.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certificate.
  • COVID-19 and flu vaccination (recommended).
  • Reliable and punctual, with a caring and professional attitude.

Desirable:

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Aged Care or Disability).
  • Manual handling training.
  • Experience working with bedridden or high-support clients.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 30 per week
