**About the Role**:
Additionally, the role requires developing new community partnerships, as well as fostering existing relationships with community organisations, that support the progressing of Council's key strategic priorities. You will also contribute to developing plans, policies, and procedures aligned with community wellbeing projects.

You will be responsible for:

- Lead the delivery of Council's Community Grants program, ensuring all grants are managed accurately, equitability and in a timely manner
- Plan and support the delivery of community capacity building programs and public information sessions to promote Council’s grant program.
- Ensure each stream within the grants program has a clear evaluation and acquittal process and successful grant recipients are supported to develop and demonstrate effective evaluation practices.
- Develop new and strengthen existing relationships with key community partners and internal stakeholders
- Identify and implement practical measures to increase the accessibility and awarenesses of Councils Community Grants program
- Contribute to the development of plans, policies and procedures aligned with community wellbeing projects including the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan (MPHWP).

**Key Selection Criteria**:
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

- Demonstrated experience in community grants management.
- Detailed understanding of all the aspects of the grant making lifecycle
- Proficient with grants management software (SmartyGrants)
- Ability to provide specialist advice to community organizations that enhance their capacity to deliver sustainable and impactful initiatives that address the community’s health and wellbeing needs.
- Demonstrated experience in evaluating community health promotion projects and initiatives.
- Ability to influence across organisations, in cross-functional teams and settings.
- Well developed, interpersonal, stakeholder management and partnership skills
- Bachelor’s degree in, public health, health promotion, social science, community development or relevant

**Mandatory pre-employment requirements**:

- Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check
- Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check
- Current Victorian driver's licence
