An exciting Ongoing Part-time opportunity exists for a talented and passionate individual to join the Parliamentary Workplace Standards and Integrity Commission as Complaints Officer.

The Parliamentary Workplace Standards and Integrity Commission (the Commission) is an independent body responsible for managing allegations of parliamentary misconduct involving members of parliament, ministers, and parliamentary secretaries.

The Commission can receive, manage, and resolve allegations of parliamentary misconduct and inappropriate parliamentary workplace behaviour. This includes receiving complaints of bullying, harassment, discrimination, victimisation and occupational violence and aggression.

The** Complaints Officer** supports the Commission's referral and complaint handling function. This involves assessing referrals of parliamentary misconduct in relation to Members of Parliament, Ministers and Parliamentary Secretaries.

The Complaints Officer sits in the Commission's Operations Team and is responsible for working with complainants, assessing complex referrals and recommending how they are dealt with in line with the Commission's legislation and remit. You will also support the Commission's investigation and dispute resolution functions, business operations, and preparation of correspondence.

This is a unique opportunity to join and make a significant contribution to our integrity commission with oversight of parliamentary workplace standards.

**About you**
- Demonstrated expertise in complaint handling and case management.
- Proven ability to exercise integrity and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive referral issues.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate with empathy and a trauma-informed lens.
- Proven ability to work proactively, both alone and as part of a team and successfully perform a leading role in complaints or investigation settings.
