Our client is a leading producer and manufacturer for the retail markets who specialises in Ready to Eat Poultry Products.

Based in Laverton, we are currently looking for a Maintenance Fitter with manufacturing or production based experience, to oversee, maintain, install and repair equipment within the factory.
- **Pay Rate: $43.92 (full time rate)**:

- **Night Shift Hours: 9pm starts (generally 8 hour shifts with some overtime)**

**Required**:

- License in Electrical Reconnect/Disconnect preferred.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing/processing environment or food and beverage industry is ideal for this role and highly desirable
- Experience using gas tungsten, arc welding process and oxy welding
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Someone who works well in a team and is reliable
- Initiative and willingness to learn maintenance works in the poultry industry

**Duties will include**:

- Maintain, monitor and repair all food manufacturing equipment; form rollers, fryers, ovens, conveyors, ESPERA machines, labelling/packaging machinery
- Operate and monitor machine/processes, maintain pneumatic and hydraulic system components
- Interpret technical specifications and manuals
- Maintain repair/replace fluid power controls

**Certificate 4 and experience as a Fitter and Turner are also encouraged to apply
