**The role and what we are looking for**:
This role reports to the Accountant and Transactional Services Team Leader and is responsible for the daily banking and receipting activities for the Capricorn Group, as well as reconciling the cash book and processing monthly payments.
Key responsibilities of this role are:
- Conducting daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations of Capricorn bank accounts;
- Allocating payments and receipting for Members and Suppliers;
- Processing end-of-month Member direct debits and credit card runs;
- Completing activities from the dashboards which includes updating members/Suppliers details, allocation transfers and Supplier support/credit cases;
- Processing manual payments in the bank portal including payroll, supplier payments and Member refunds; and
- Assisting the Finance team with performing accounting tasks such as account reconciliation, journal processing and fixed asset processing.
- Experience in a similar accounting or finance role
- Sound understanding of accounting principles
- Ability to meet business demands, deadlines, and timeframes specific to the role as they arise including the ability to multitask and prioritise
