**About the role**

We have an exciting permanent position opportunity for an Analyst, Private Markets Risk (“PMR”) to join QIC’s Risk Management Group (“RMG”) in Brisbane.

The RMG team is responsible for designing, continuously improving, and implementing QIC’s enterprise-wide risk framework. The team also provides QIC’s investment teams and corporate teams with the tools, training, and advice to assist them effectively identify, analyse and manage their business’ operational, strategic, investment and emerging risks.

As a member of PMR, you will help to drive risk management initiatives across the Global Real Estate, Global Infrastructure, Global Private Capital and Private Debt (together the “Private Markets”) investment teams to protect these teams and their investments. You will also be responsible for:

- Advising and challenging the Private Markets investment teams on risk management.
- Executing investment compliance processes including monitoring, resolution and reporting of compliance breaches for private markets investment activities
- Working with the asset management, property management, development management and leasing teams to proactively manage risks at the real estate asset level and infrastructure portfolio company level
- Championing a strong culture of risk across the Private Markets teams and QIC.

**About You**

The successful applicant will have a strong interest in the Private Markets asset classes, especially real estate and infrastructure, as well as an ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. This role also provides you with exposure to four Private Markets asset classes and therefore could provide a stepping stone to potentially move into an investment role in the future.

Your key strengths should span across key areas such as:

- Experience in operations / operational risk management preferably in the real estate or infrastructure sector
- The ability to identify, analyse and proactively resolve problems that impact our real estate and infrastructure investments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Sound Proficiency in analytical tools such as MS Excel including VBA and Power BI
- High attention to detail, methodical and accurate
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
