C-Suite Partners is thrilled to once again be partnering with St John of God Health Care for the significant appointment of their next Group Chief Financial Officer. This appointment will see the successful applicant leading all financial aspects of the organisation’s operations.

St John of God Health Care (SJGHC) is one of the largest Catholic providers of health care services in Australia. The organisation employs more than 16,000 staff and operates facilities across Australia and New Zealand comprising more than 3,300 hospital beds, as well as home nursing disability services and social outreach programs.

The Group Chief Financial Officer will be accountable for working with the Board and Group Chief Executive Officer to implement appropriate service delivery and business model strategies to improve service outcomes for the organisation. This role will see you leading all financial aspects of the organisation’s operations, such as financial strategy development, payroll, procurement and supply, budget preparation, financial and operational performance, financial controls and policies, management of cash flow and debt, revenue/cost initiatives and those relating to business development (including mergers and acquisitions), ensuring they meet and comply with all organisational and statutory requirements. Additionally, this role will oversee procurement and supply chain operations to ensure hospitals and services have the resources they need on a day-to-day basis, while maintaining a clear focus on financial stewardship.

**Key Requirements**:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting or commerce and post graduate studies CA/CPA/MBA
- Extensive experience and expertise in a senior finance role developing organisation wide financial policies, frameworks and strategies
- Demonstrated high level leadership and influencing skills in areas relevant to improving financial and operational performance
- Demonstrated strong business acumen, analytical, organisational and project management skills
- Proven track record in mergers and acquisitions
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills and a proven ability to liaise, negotiate, consult with and influence senior stakeholders
- An excellent understanding of current health industry issues
