**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
**Position**

Reporting to Council’s Team Leader Ferry and Operations Engineer, this position will work under a roster arrangement to safely and efficiently operate Council’s wire drawn ferry in accordance with Council’s policies and procedures. A key responsibility of the position will be to work closely with the Team Leader to ensure the delivery of a quality ferry service to our community.

Hours of work for this casual position are on an as needed basis only to support busy periods and relieve staff absence.

- Class C driver licence with a good and safe driving record.
- Current AMSA EX21 Marine Safety (Operator vehicular ferry in chains) Exemption or current AMSA Master of Vehicular Ferry in Chains Certificate of Competency.
- Proven experience in ticket sales and accounting reconciliation.
- Demonstrated ability to direct vehicles and control the loading of the ferry.
- Current HLTFA unit of competency HLTAID003 Provide First Aid.
- Demonstrated experience in and ability to provide excellent customer service.
