
E-bike Electronics Specialist

**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Work Health and Safety (WHS)**:
- Document and implement measures to control WHS risks specific to electric bike servicing and electronic equipment.
- **Technical Diagnosis and Repair**:
- Solve problems in direct current (DC) circuits and troubleshoot various electronic components.
- Diagnose and repair faults in basic electronic apparatus by replacing components.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic amplifier circuits and amplifiers within electronic apparatus.
- Diagnose and rectify issues in digital sub-systems.
- Troubleshoot single-phase input DC power supplies and fault-find and repair complex power supplies.
- Troubleshoot resonance circuits within electric bike electronic systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot microcontroller-based hardware systems commonly found in e-bikes.
- **Possess a really good understanding of lithium-ion batteries, including their charging, discharging, safety protocols, and diagnostic procedures.**:
- **Component Handling and Installation**:
- Fabricate, assemble, and dismantle various utility industry components relevant to electric bikes.
- Fix and secure electrotechnology equipment safely and effectively.
- Install and maintain cabling for various telecommunication services as they relate to e-bike systems (e.g., display units, motor controllers).
- **Documentation and Technical Interpretation**:
- Competently use and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, schedules, industry standards, codes, and specifications.
- Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, diagnostics, and component usage.
- **Software and Systems Proficiency**:
- Solve fundamental electronic communications system problems related to e-bike operation.
- **Customer Site Work**:
- Travel to customer locations to perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs as required.
- **Continuous Improvement and Sustainability**:
- Participate actively in electronics and communications work and competency development activities to stay current with industry advancements.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Formal qualification in Electrotechnology, Electronics, or a related field (e.g., Certificate III or IV in Electrotechnology/Electronics).
- Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing electronic circuits and systems, ideally within the electric bike or related light vehicle sector.
- Demonstrated understanding of DC circuits, digital electronics, and power supply troubleshooting.
- **A really good understanding of lithium-ion battery technology, including safety and maintenance.**:
- Proficiency in interpreting technical diagrams and using diagnostic tools.
- Strong commitment to WHS principles and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- **Valid Australian Driver's License and a clean driving record.**:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
**Desirable**:
- Previous experience specifically with electric bike brands and their proprietary systems.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
