Exciting opportunity for an experienced Medical Receptionist to start immediately in the Hobart CBD

**Your new company**
Hays Office Support are working with a specialist medical business based in the Hobart CBD who are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join their team immediately 4 days a week, Monday to Thursday.

**Your new role**
As the Medical Receptionist you’ll be the first point for contact for all patients in person or over the phone. You’ll will be providing a high level of support to the practice, you’ll be required to complete duties such as:

- General reception duties
- Meeting and greeting patients
- Booking initial and follow up appointments for patients
- Billing patients
- Completing electronic referrals
- Medicare and DVA batching and receipting
- Scanning and entering correspondence into patients files
- Other administrative tasks as required

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Adaptability, initiative and the ability to think ahead
- Ability to work well under pressure, balancing competing demands and interruptions
- Strong knowledge across software packages including Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Medical Software such as Genie and Best Practice.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication
- A consistently pleasant and friendly phone manner
- The ability to work autonomously and have a proactive nature.
