**The Position**

Reporting to the Managing Director, the purpose of the HR Manager job is to align business objectives with employees and local management teams across all functions in the business including commercial, operations, and some external relationships including contractors and clients. You will be a true business partner to the organisation on all people and culture issues including industrial relations, employment relations, diversity and inclusion, and broader HR strategies.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Coach, advise and influence managers on employment law, HR policies and procedures, trade union and enterprise bargaining agreements and employment relations matters;
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees and contractors, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance;
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g. coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions) and develop and maintain strong business relationships with managers to build morale, drive engagement and increase productivity and retention;
- Support leaders across all functions in the organisation’s engagement efforts, including analysing survey results, determining key focus areas and developing action plans;
- Build strategic diversity and inclusion initiatives and drive them across the organisation;
- Manage local recruitment campaigns to support identification and selection of highly capable talent.

**Skills and Experience**
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Employment/Industrial Relations or related business management discipline;
- Highly developed understanding of industrial relations, complex employment relations, enterprise bargaining and a solid knowledge of Queensland employment legislation;
- Demonstrated experience as a HR Business Partner or Human Resources Manager with an attested ability to engage, influence and contribute to organisational strategy and translating that strategy into operational deliverables via a broad range of stakeholders;
- Balanced style to be agile and adaptive through organisational change, whilst understanding organisational or department maturity and readiness for change;
- Strong business partnering and coaching style that can be relatable to frontline staff all the way up to the executive and senior leadership teams;

Our client is an Australian business part of a global group, and operates within the labour solutions sector. A fun and energetic workforce will welcome the new HR Manager with open arms, and the executive leadership team is excited for this person to take the reigns on all things people and culture. The role has one quasi report, who is a shared Payroll Manager across one of the Group’s other businesses. This organisation is keen for this HR Manager to build out their role, take complete ownership, and could expand as the business grows. The organisation is based at Milton, offering public transport options very close to the Head Office, and the ability to work two days from home per week.
