Chess Electrics provides electrical and refrigeration services to the mining, oil and gas industries. Carrying out maintenance, shutdowns and major projects throughout Queensland.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, HR policies, and practices.
- Strong accountability mindset, independent, well organized, and multi-tasking skills.
- Experience supporting and participating in the implementation of human resources projects and initiatives.
- Act as a single point of contact for all people-related issues including providing support and advice
- Coordinate the employee performance review and development process;
- Hands-on and can-do attitude, strong drive for results, sense of urgency as well as flexibility.
- Supervising and support end to end recruitment conducting all aspects of the recruitment process such as recruiting employees, vetting of employees and preparing them to be site ready.
- Collaboration with office and site based teams to ensure seamless on-boarding and mobilisation as per individual site requirements;
- Ongoing maintenance of Chess Electrics employee records and training database.
- Prepare new contracts, contract amendments.
- Communicate recruitment status with management and site.
**Skills, Attributes and Experience**:
- Tertiary or certificate qualifications in Human Resources with previous HR experience.
- Minimum 5 years experience Human Resources Management within mining or heavy industries or similar.
- Experience within a recruitment role.
- Demonstrated experience with Training and Development.
- Performance Management.
- Onboarding and offboarding employees.
- Employment contracts and awards.
- Experience working for contracting companies within the mining sector;
- Experience with BMA, Glencore, Anglo Coal induction processes and requirements.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office;
- Exceptional time management skills and the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience with Pronto.
- Experience with Job adder.
