Your role as a Risk Consultant is to provide professional risk management consulting services to JLT/ MARSH’s Public Sector and Specialty clients across Victoria and Tasmania. Primary client are the MAV Insurance liability mutual members and JMAPP property mutual members.

**In this role you will be responsible for**:
**_ Risk Management Service Delivery_**
- Professional risk management service delivery to local government and other mutual members.

**_ Risk Management Consultancy_**
- Provide advice and assistance to internal and external clients on a range of risk management related areas;
- Provide high quality written and verbal reports related to risk management issues and client services;
- Provide Subject Matter Expert input into risk management areas including (but not limited to); corporate risk services, physical asset protection, environmental risks, emergency management, business interruption / business continuity planning and Corporate Governance.
- Deliver and facilitate risk management projects, programs, workshops, high quality auditing, training and technical assessments.

Provide input into the Division’s reporting as required.

**_ Product and Service Development_**
- Develop timely and innovative risk management products and services appropriate to target client base.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and workshops appropriate to the client base.
- Provide high level input into service delivery models and methodologies adopted or developed by JLT/ MARSH Public Sector.

Contribute to the development of risk management tools and resources for use by JLT/ MARSH Public Sector personnel.

**_ Development and Marketing_**
- Identify business growth opportunities and work with the greater JLT/ MARSH business to ensure client needs are met.
- Contribute to identification of service and products opportunities.
- Attendance at trade exhibitions and conferences as required
- Provide advice and reports to Senior Management as requested.

**_ Finance Management _**
- Manage expenses within agreed limits and budget requirements

**_ Professional Conduct_**
- Maintain contemporary knowledge and understanding of risk management methodology, emerging trends and practices.
- Contribute to the professional image of JLT/ MARSH Public Sector and JLT/ MARSHA through high standards of personal and professional knowledge and presentation.

Prepare and deliver presentations at conferences or other professional forums as requested.

**We would like you to have**:
Expert knowledge of Risk Management;
Working knowledge of Business Continuity Planning and / or risk adaptation processes;
Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving role in line with market growth;
Working knowledge of relevant legislative requirements with an ability to research and assimilate relevant changes;
Ability to deliver training programs based around risk management principles

Ability to plan / organise, work independently and prioritise workloads;
Ability to be flexible and work effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team;
High level communication, presentation and negotiation skills;
Current Drivers’ License;
Broad Computer Literacy (Windows Environment);
While the position is based in Melbourne, the role does require travel both within metropolitan Melbourne and some interstate travel.
