**Your Role**
As an Operational Risk Consultant, you’ll be part of the operational risk team responsible for driving efficient and effective management of operational risk in the Retail Insurance Australia Division (RIA). You’ll undertake risk identification management, mitigation and reporting alongside business owners aligned to the IAG Risk Management Strategy, Risk Management Framework and Risk Appetite Statement.
This role is a visible advocate for driving risk maturity uplift and improvement across RIA so being able to engage broadly and communicate effectively to influence business operations and risk culture, is critical.

**This is a permanent position with flexibility to be based anywhere in Australia.**

**About You**
- Experienced risk professional with experience in Risk Management within the Insurance or Financial sector, along with strong business acumen.
- Demonstrated experience in controls testing.
- Developed understanding of the regulatory environment, compliance obligations and effective controls.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing risk and assurance learning frameworks.
- Capabilities in respect of core systems, risk systems and data maintenance.
- Strong understanding of key parameters and decision factors in managing risk effectively.
