**Food Services Officer**
- Part Time

- Our friendly and professional Support Services Team at the Royal Melbourne Hospital
- Royal Park Campus are looking for a Food Service Officer to join our team. Food Services interact with staff, patients, relatives and colleagues and their actions and behaviours are guided by the organisations values of patient centred care, trust, unity, and respect. Food Services are an integral part of the hospital team and are responsible for the following:
**Within Your New Role, You will**:

- Oversee on floor management of all daily rethermalisation, plating and distribution functions
- Have the ability to liaise with patients and other Hospital departments within area of responsibility
- Oversee Occupational Health and Safety issues as requested
- Co-ordinate and monitor in conjunction with Unit Manager on quality issues like quality control and hygiene standards
- Provide regular on the job training when requested
- Provide staff induction when requested**
**About You**:
**Formal Qualifications**
- Safe Food Handling Certificate for Health Industry or equivalen**t**

**Essential**:

- Computer literacy
- Ability to plan rosters
- Good people and communication skills
- Good computer skills in Excel, Work and outlook
- High standard of personal cleanliness and hygiene.

**Desirable**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management (or similar)
- Ability to plan and meet deadlines
- Team building skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
