**Associate Director/Director, Economics**
**Your Opportunity**
RPS is an established leader in the infrastructure consultancy sector who is known for its high-quality practices. Due to an increase in workload we are now seeking an experienced Associate Director or Director to join our professional team working on the procurement, planning and development of major infrastructure projects in Brisbane.
You will be responsible for leading and directing teams to support the development of the economic advisory services, primarily focused on major infrastructure projects in the following sectors: Transport, Land use and property, Energy, Environment, Justice, Education and Sports.
**Your Impact**
Lead engagements that provide economic advice to clients including acting as the main client contact, project management of teams of economists, managing budgets and quality assurance of all deliverables (including reviewing models and reports)
Lead the development of excel models including cost benefit analysis.
Lead the development of proposals responding to client briefs including development of the value proposition, methodology, roles and budgets.
Maintain internal and external networks of potential clients, complementary offerings at RPS and strategic partnerships with other consulting firms.
Contribute to libraries of resources on best practice methodologies and proposal material.
Be a mentor to other members of the economics team.
Lead the identification, development, and conversion of opportunities for future work
Instigate and participate in business development initiatives.
Thought leadership and development of intellectual property on economic approaches and insights including but not limited to developing articles, presentations and participating in webinars.
Play an active role in supporting the development of the Brisbane economics team and fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture of work.
**About You**
To succeed in this role you will have demonstrated experience in cost benefit analysis and a university qualification in economics is essential. Other key capabilities that will be looked on favourably include experience demonstrating the need for investment, options assessment (including multi-criteria analysis and strategic economic appraisal), project justification (including data analytics, forecasting, detailed economic appraisal, economic impact assessment, visualisation and reporting) and developing benefits realisation strategies.
A little more about you
7+ years’ relevant experience including working in client side consultancy
Infrastructure project experience, in one or more of our core sectors (transport, land use and property, energy, environment and social infrastructure)
Prior experience of performance in a senior role encompassing client management and the management of staff.
Proven experience working in project development, program/project management and assurance
Experience managing government clients with an understanding of government policies, processes and guidelines
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team and work co-operatively as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team.
Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills and experience in presenting to senior client representatives and executives.
Positive attitude and a team player.
