**ROLE SUMMARY**

With their new distribution and warehouse centre 30 minutes North East of Brisbane an opportunity has arisen for someone to take the lead and to be an imperative part of the growth and establishment of the new team here in QLD.

Reporting to the National Operations Manager the role of Distribution Centre Coordinator is to oversee a small team of warehouse staff, manage productivity, produce reports for head office and uphold service levels both locally and remotely ensuring that the deliveries are made on time and in full.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Onboard and lead a small team of warehouse employees
- Drive safety, risk assessments and injury reporting
- Introduce and maintain site management & evacuation plan
- Manage order processing and customer satisfaction
- Daily and weekly reporting for the centre
- Address day to day transport issues
- Facilitate proof of delivery reporting
- Build and maintain relationships with key carrier stakeholders
- Effectively manage the distribution cost of doing business
- Manage stock loss and damage and complete stocktakes
- Effectively manage transport partnerships and transport costs
- Manage inventory levels in warehouse management systems
- Prepare Workloads and allocate time for tasks
- Effectively service and maintain all plant and Equipment
- Oversee all disciplines of house-keeping both inside and outside of the distribution facilities

**YOU**

This role is suitable for an experienced Stores and or Distribution/Warehouse Coordinator with extensive experience across all aspects of warehouse and distribution centre functions. Someone who has experience coordinating a small centre in the bathroom, laundry, kitchen renovation and building design industry would be highly sought after.

Someone with a strong safety focus who can drive customer satisfaction and can effectively manage the daily productivity and overall efficiency of the centre.

**THE IDEAL PERSON**
- A strong safety focus and awareness of people and environments
- Proven experience in a similar role with a minimum of 3 - 5 years exp
- Extensive knowledge of warehousing and distribution
- Knowledge of Warehouse management systems and process
- Inventory control capabilities
- Experience in transport and national transport lane ways and lead times
- Excellent time management and great preparation
- Strong decision-making abilities and commercial acumen
- Solid understanding of data analysis and forecasting
- Exceptional communication and people management skills
- Proficient MS Office and Excel skills
- Forklift License
