Hunter are currently working in partnership with a well-established, reputable, W.A owned and operated, environmental consultancy with a steady pipeline of repeat business gained from providing a high-quality service to clients in the mining and resources, Oil and Gas, infrastructure, and government sectors.

Due to upcoming restructuring of a large and growing team, they are now actively recruiting for an experienced manager to lead their Biodiversity group based in Perth.

This is great opportunity for someone who ideally has a background in or understanding of flora and / or fauna and the desire and ability to manage, mentor and support a team of scientific technical professionals.

You could be an established or seasoned team leader or manager who is looking for a change or a Senior or Principal environmental consultant who would prefer a less technical and more people and business focused role. Either way, there are some technically strong principals to support you and help you to provide the best outcomes for your clients

They are a very stable and successful group with a strong pipeline of continuous work and who often turn away jobs as they continue to operate in a sustainable and ethical manner and focus on quality not just profit.

**What you need**:

- A Tertiary degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or similar
- Technical background or experience in either flora / fauna / fieldwork / surveys
- Previous consultancy experience
- Ability to manage a team of botanists, ecologists, zoologists and other scientific professionals
- Ability to provide a supportive, coaching, mentoring approach to team management and leadership
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teams in the organisation
