Reporting to the Area Manager, the Service Rebuild Advisor works closely with Technicians during the repair process and will advise on the re-use, salvage or replacement of parts used. You will provide technical assistance with Failure Analysis reporting and be responsible for a final in-depth inspection before signing off and release of Hydraulic components.

You will also be required to determine the type of salvage process required and the most cost effective procedure for parts re-use, approve the re-usability/replacement of parts for component repairs by conducting visual & measurement tests, approve finished salvage repairs and ensuring inspection and reuse results are correctly recorded, analyse product failures and reports to identify issues and recommend corrective actions to prevent the re occurrence of these issues & complete component appraisal reports.

**Roster: 5/2 10hrs**

**To be successful the following is required**:

- Australian Recognised Heavy Duty Mechanical Trade Qualification or fitter / machinist
- Previous experience with Hydraulic components beneficial but not essential
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- A safety-first work ethic
- Ability to work in a team and autonomously
- Experience with Caterpillar operating systems e.g. DBS, SIS, Smartsheets highly desirable
