Team Leader Recoveries

**About the role**
You will be leading our dedicated and task focused complex and legal recovery specialists to ensure the best client and company outcome is achieved whilst delivering consistently high levels of service to each and every stakeholder. To achieve this, it is critical to maintain a service and cost focused outcome that can deliver in the areas of Timeliness, Quality & Cost
**Key Responsibilities**
- Delivering superior financial, service and effectiveness outcomes in line with key performance indicators and overall department and company objectives (including but not limited to legal spend)
- Coach, train and mentor direct reports using technical expertise to pursue saving opportunities
- Conduct regular, ad hoc and monthly performance reviews with direct reports to ensure alignment with goals and overall objectives are being met
- Develop and implement processes to ensure maximum saving potential is recognised within the team, using technical knowledge and file management skills to create fair and prompt outcomes for all parties
- Provide technical recovery claims advice and assistance to all team members
- Review and sign off on complex claim decisions and recovery write off outside of teams authority limits
- Participate and support peer leadership group in decision making and resource allocation across the claims department
- Review and report on department results and trends to outline the ongoing performance of the Recoveries portfolio
- Review, research and make recommendations regarding additional tools and resources required to improve effectiveness and performance of the team
**What experience you’ll bring**
- Demonstrated ability to develop, coach and train staff;
- A proactive and energetic approach to help drive the business forward
- Knowledge of complex recoveries claims (preferred)
- Knowledge of legal processes within recoveries (preferred)
- Have the desire to expand your knowledge and skills across different facets of motor insurance
- Proven ability to provide data analysis with strong written verbal communications skills
- The ability to maintain strong relationships with internal & external stakeholders
- Excellent customer service skills
- Solid understanding of liability and relevant insurance laws
- Demonstrated financial and KPI performance
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolutionWell developed and demonstrated understanding of the legislative, regulatory and compliance obligations to operate in the FSR environment
