**About the Role**
This is an ongoing Part Time positon at 0.4 FTE (30.4 hours per fortnight) within the Speech Pathology Department.
In this role you will be responsible for assisting Speech Pathologist's to provide optimal care to children with communication and swallowing difficulties in both inpatient and outpatient settings. A large proportion of this work involves maintaining therapy equipment and spaces, setting up for clinics, and resource development for patients and the team. You may also assist in delivering therapy programs under the guidance of a Speech Pathologist.
Classification for this position is IN30 (FTE base salary $65,754 per annum, plus superannuation).
**What you’ll achieve**:
- Assist speech pathologists to provde high-quality clinical services to in/outpatients at RCH via a range of non-clinical and clinical duties.
- Work within the scope of an allied health assistant
- Demonstrate evidence-based practise and a commitment to learning
- Work effectively and flexibly within teams demonstrating strong communication, organisation, and collaboration skills
- Act in a professional and ethical manner
**Your skills and experience**:
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent
- Experience in working directly with patients as an Allied Health Assistant
- Previous experience in a hospital setting
- Proficient computer skills
