Northrop Grumman Australia partners with the Royal Australian Air Force to provide through-life support for its fleet of C-27J Spartan Airlifter aircraft. The C-27J complements the Australian Defence Force’s existing Air Mobility fleet and provides airlift of people, equipment and supplies in Australia and our region.

We are seeking a **Procurement Team Lead** who will take ownership of the program’s procurement lifecycle which includes the leadership of the procurement team.

This position is based at RAAF Base Richmond in Richmond, NSW.

**Day to day responsibilities of the role include**:

- Ensure goods are ordered and made available within the required by date and in the required quantities
- Team and performance management of the Procurement Analysts and Coordinators
- Managing and monitoring procurement related reporting and governance requirements for Program
- Working with Procurement Analysts to developing sourcing strategies and establishing new supply agreements
- Managing high value or complex purchase orders
- Leading the expediting activities and managing the flow down information of parts availability to the maintenance and planning teams
- Highly-developed procurement background ideally with experience from either Defence, Federal Government or aviation
- Knowledge and experience in the use of ERPs for procurement management
- Experience leading and managing teams including coaching and mentorship
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills being able to tailor language to suit audience (i.e. customer, suppliers & internal stakeholders)
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance

**Desirable skills and experience**:

- Knowledge and experience in a procurement / commodity complex capital asset environment
- Knowledge and experience in the use ADF tools, ADF procurement regulations and Export/Import & Compliance Controls
