The key responsibilities are (but not limited to) the following:

- Carry out general maintenance around the club, repairing a large array of painting, building and planned maintenance
- Ensure all logged maintenance jobs are followed up and completed in a timely manner
- Equipment removal and re-installation
- Document and maintain maintenance records and hazard identification, reporting any incidents or near misses through WHS processes
- Provide essential service audits, and work with suppliers with warranties and ordering spare parts

To be eligible for this position you must meet the below criteria;
- Have previous maintenance experience
- Must have own vehicle (van or ute)
- Ability to perform manual tasks, including; heavy lifting, climbing stairs and completing tasks at ground and overhead level
- Level 2 First Aid and CPR
- Police Check

To be successful in this role you will:

- Be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding role
- Have strong communication skills both written and verbal and natural ability to build working relationships and rapport with our club managers and all other staff
- Have strong organisational and prioritisation skills and be comfortable working autonomously
- Be confident managing and coordinating external contractors
- Have a passion for the fitness industry and a willingness to learn
- Be adaptable. No two days are the same

Skills/experience:

- 3 years + experience as a handyman/women
- Experience repairing gym equipment highly desirable
- Trade qualification in fitting/mechanical background desirable
- Experience maintaining and working from a maintenance log system
- Australian driver’s license and clean driving record
- Forklift license is highly desirable
