**Key Responsibilities**
- Maintain relationships with staff within the finance team, across the company and stakeholders alike to achieve alignment in the department
- A positive attitude, the desire to learn the industry and contribute to the progressive team culture will be viewed favourably
- Strong attention to detail & ability to complete tasks accurately and in a timely manner
- Provision of effective support services as required for finance staff
- Basic understanding of Bookeeping /Accounts processes
- Customer Service experience
- Solid computer skills
- Ensure efficient general support services are in place and delivered on time
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Regular follow up of low $ value overdue accounts
- Knowledge of data entry & reconciliation processes

**_ Specific Duties_**
- Banking (up to 2 hours per day)
- Reception cover (Daily 1pm to 2 pm lunch and holiday cover)
- Setting up of new accounts
- Create new account registrations
- Update client information in software
- Data entry - invoicing & Accounts Payable
- Regularly following up Debtor accounts (under $2k) and unidentified deposits
- Assist with reconciliation of outstanding debts
- Accounts payable procedures and Reception relief
- Filing, scanning and uploading of client information & documents
- Assist on Sales counter during sales inspection days
- Reconciliation of outstanding debts
- Assist with Credit Card reconciliation

Selection Criteria

**Essential**:

- Basic understanding of Bookeeping/Accounts
- Advanced organizational skills
- Knowledge and experience working in an office environment with exposure to accounts payable/receivable and banking
- Ability to prioritize workload and work autonomously, handling high volume workloads when required
- Excellent numeracy skills and proficiency within Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Availability to work weekends during sale and some travel interstate may be required
- Professional customer service liaison skills, with excellent written and verbal communication
- Compliance with all organizational policy, procedure and processes and legislative standards and requirements
- Assist on Sales counter during sales/ inspection days
- Assist with Credit Card reconciliation
- Ad hoc tasks as required, including General admin & office duties

**Desirable**
- Previous experience in the Thoroughbred Horse Racing Industry in a similar role
