**The role**
The Product and Operational Support Manager - Oceania is a key management role within the Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions business for Oceania. The is role that will enable you to bring together your background in Mechanical Engineering together with your solid leadership skills in order to support and grow the Sandvik Rock Processing solutions business, by means of a field service and repairs business, coupled with product and technical support.
This pivotal role will enable you to utilise your strong sense of business acumen, leadership, tactical decision making, and implementation of improvement initiatives in order to deliver profitable growth for Sandvik Rock Processing’s service and repair business.
You will be supported on your journey by a team of highly skilled individuals who perform a range of tasks including technical product support, product root-cause analysis, product performance recommendations, operator training, development of technical support roles across Oceania, in addition to establishing commercial partnership agreements with 3rd party stakeholders.
This role is a full-time requirement, however Sandvik recognises the desire for flexible working options. Flexible employment arrangements include condensed working weeks, working from home, flexible start/finish times, etc.
**Your profile**
In order to be successful for this role, you will display a commitment to the highest levels of safety of yourself and others. You will hold a relevant academic degree in Mechanical Engineering (or Mechanical Trade with extensive experience) with solid and long-term industry experience.
In addition, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience with Crushing and Screening equipment, or Mineral Processing equipment
- Excellent business acumen
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and team leadership skills
- Excellent planning and coordination skills
- A conscientious attitude with a can-do attitude and prepared to work in a challenging environment
- A desire to provide excellent service and focused on positive customer outcomes
- You will have prior experience leading teams, dealing with ambiguity and influencing decision making.
- A team player who loves helping people, solving problems, and wants to be a major factor in the success of our customers.
- The ability to develop strong industry networks as well as developing and maintaining relationships with customers through proactive customer communications
