Ahs Operations Superintendent

Epiroc are seeking a dedicated AHS Maintenance Superintendent to lead our team in executing planned work on time, ensuring the availability and reliability of AHS Fleet assets. This role involves identifying and participating in continuous improvement projects focused on cost savings, reliability, and production efficiency.

This role's primary focus is overseeing the implementation and operation of autonomous haulage systems within an active mining environment. Your primary responsibilities involve managing the deployment process, coordinating teams, ensuring safety standards, and achieving operational KPIs inclduing the below:
Technology Implementation: Oversee the planning, deployment, and integration of mining automation technologies, such as autonomous haulage systems. Collaborate with external & internal stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation and maintenance of automation solutions.

Project Management: Manage maintenance & implementation plans, timelines, and budgets related to autonomous haulage. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals and deadlines.

Operational Oversight: Monitor and optimize the performance of mining automation systems to maximize efficiency and productivity. Address technical issues and troubleshoot problems to minimize downtime.

Safety and Compliance: Ensure that mining automation activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards. Implement and enforce safety protocols specific to autonomous haulage.

Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of professionals involved in the operation and maintenance of autonomous haulage systems. Provide training and support to team members to enhance their skills and ensure effective performance.

Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data analytics tools to analyze performance metrics and provide insights for continuous improvement. Generate regular reports on the productivity, availability, and safety of autonomous haulage systems.

Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as mining operations, remote operations, maintenance, and safety, to integrate automation technologies into the broader mining operation seamlessly. Communicate regularly with upper management and stakeholders to provide updates on automation projects.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation system enhancements. Stay informed about the latest planned technology releases and release roadmaps.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure safety compliance and conduct regular audits.
- Lead and manage maintenance teams and contractors.
- Oversee and implement preventative maintenance programs.
- Monitor and optimize equipment performance.
- Manage parts and equipment requirements.
- Ensure SAP compliance and focus on AHS Downtime and Availability.
- Diagnose and support AHS and Mobius system issues.
- Drive continuous improvement and change management.
- Develop detailed performance and availability reports.
- Identify training needs and maintain team competency.
- Provide feedback and manage resource availability.

The ideal applicant will have:

- Previous Mining, Automation and/or Electrification experience
- Experience with Mining Technology products (Vehicle automation, FMS & electrification)
- Skillful MS Office user (mainly Excel, PowerPoint & Word, Power BI or other Analytical tools)
- Ability to give feedback as needed
- Understanding of technology deployment within a mining environment
- Strong English communication skills both verbal and writte

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Trade or Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years in maintenance supervision in open pit mining.
- Proven safety, productivity, and reliability standards.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Current WA ‘Class’ Driver's Licence.
- Proactive with a commitment to safety.
- Experience with Asset Management (SAP) and Microsoft Office.
- **Desirable**: Experience with Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS).
