Apex Resources is currently seeking an experienced AHS Technician for an exciting opportunity within the mining technology sector. This role is ideal for someone passionate about working on the cutting edge of autonomous systems and eager to contribute to the rollout and maintenance of innovative haulage technologies across both metro and site-based locations.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled technician to assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS) and other mining tech systems. You'll be working directly with state-of-the-art autonomous equipment, ensuring smooth integration and top-tier performance across operations.

Key Responsibilitie

  • Install AHS and related mining technology on-site and in Perth workshops
  • Maintain and service autonomous vehicles and systems to minimize downtime
  • Diagnose & Repair mechanical, electrical, and software faults
  • Collaborate with broader tech and operations teams for seamless integration
  • Document installations, servicing, and issue resolutions
  • Ensure all work meets safety and compliance standards

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years' experience with autonomous systems, heavy machinery, or mining tech
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software systems
  • Proficiency with diagnostics and system troubleshooting
  • Relevant technical certifications or qualifications in engineering, mechatronics, robotics, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
  • High attention to detail, safety-first mindset, and adaptability to new technology

Desirable Extras

  • Background in autonomous mining systems or fleet management systems (FMS)
  • Familiarity with control systems and wireless networks
  • Experience in software updates and integrations
  • Comfortable working in remote or challenging environments
