**The role**

This is an opportunity to work as part of a team that had made significant contribution to the Company’s success by providing support to the Assessing Team in their endeavours to provide clients with a superior claims experience that is efficient, fair and cost effective.

The Total Loss Team oversees and reviews all aspects of the Total Loss process which is a major portion of our annual claim’s expenditure. The role is responsible for managing the back-end requirements of total loss and stolen vehicle claims, including transportation and disposal of salvage and compliance with State legislative requirements.

**Primary Objectives**
- Communicate and negotiate Total Loss settlement figures and valuation methodology to clients
- Monitor Assessor compliance valuation methodology
- Manage the most efficient methods for retrieval and disposal of salvaged vehicles
- Co-ordinate the tender process for extracting best price for delivery of replacement vehicles as requested under our policies
- Escalate PAMV disputes relating to Total Loss claims
- Maintain data within DISC to ensure accuracy of Total Loss financial results
- Carry out other duties within the department as may be requested from time to time

**Skills Required**:

- Sound conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Previous claims experience essential
- Proven customer service and external relationship management abilities
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Sound level of computer literacy
- The ability to work with predetermine deadlines and varying workloads
