TMR's Digital Capability Unit (DCU) within Information Technology Branch (ITB) works across all areas of TMR to grow our collective digital capability, enabling the realisation of our vision to create a digitally-enabled, integrated and inclusive transport network connecting all Queenslanders.
As Manager (Digital Initiatives), you will provide leadership and be an advocate for outcomes-focused experimentation with emerging technologies to government, to drive digital capability uplift, innovation and inform TMR's Information Communication Technology (ICT) investment priorities.
You will use your comprehensive understanding of technologies and proven history of leading successful digital transformation programs to drive initiatives which will improve customer experience and increase organisational efficiencies.
**Accountabilities include**: - Leading the implementation of the recently reviewed emerging technology function within the DCU, including refining and implementing the frameworks, guidelines, governance and processes which enable experimentation across the organization and creating a visible pipeline of work to support executive decision making. Establish and support clear processes for the pathway from proof of concept to production, in consultation with ITB Technology leaders, ICT project governance and key stakeholders. Identify, and facilitate customers to self-identify, emerging technologies to government which may address cross functional/cross divisional problems and/or drive innovation that supports improved customer experience and increases organizational efficiencies, in alignment with business and strategic objectives. Provide leadership and hands on project management skills to plan and coordinate initiative activities and resources to ensure the timely delivery ofoutcomes, within scope, time, quality and budget constraints. Build and maintain enduring relationships with identified stakeholders, liaising closely and reporting on the progress of initiatives. This position reports to the to the Director (Digital Capability) and has no direct reports.
