**The role**:
The HSEQ Specialist will contribute to improving the health, safety, and environmental performance of the organisation by embedding a culture of excellence in health and safety. They will provide solutions and advice based on their in-depth knowledge of health and safety and ensure effective risk management along the company chain. Based at the Eagle Farm workshop in Brisbane.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Governance: Deliver and deploy HSEQ training, audit, and performance improvement programs within the area of responsibility.
- Metrics: Report on HSEQ incidents, near misses, and hazards. Provide feedback on lessons learned and best practices. Report progress on the implementation of group sustainability objectives and key performance indicators.
- Regulatory Compliance: Assess emerging trends and legislation in HSE and communicate relevant information on legal requirements. Implement policies and standards and ensure the area of responsibility is audited. Assist line managers and supervisors in understanding obligations, liabilities, and role fulfillment.
- Risk Management: Deliver audits and support follow-up of improvement actions. Facilitate HSEQ risk assessment by line management. Provide expertise in risk mitigation.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive behavioral change through the local implementation of Group-wide performance improvement programs and practices. Embed an exemplary health and safety culture, as well as a strong focus on the environment and quality, throughout the organization.
- Consultancy: Maintain external awareness and perspective and act as an expert with consulting responsibilities on health and safety-related knowledge and trends.
- Communication and Engagement: Cooperate across functions and with business partners to raise awareness and drive performance. Engage with internal and external stakeholders to report on, raise awareness of, gain commitment, and obtain objective feedback.
- Operational Support: Contribute to driving behavioral change and continuous improvement through the delivery of training and competence initiatives and expert support. Coordinate reporting on HSEQ performance and support delivery of Group audit program. Ensure appropriate HSEQ equipment and tools are available and used. Drive and ensure compliance with Group management systems.
- Project Management: Contribute to and/or plan and execute HSEQ and Corporate Responsibility-related projects. Develop and report on project objectives. Complete Tender information for projects when required.
- Administration: Perform HSEQ administration including but not limited to asset management, HSEQ reporting, and HSEQ site requirements.
- Diploma or Degree qualification in OHS
- Certificate 4 in Workplace Training and Assessment is desirable
- Minimum of 3 years' HSEQ experience within a workshop environment.
- Operations and Project Management experienced will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience in creating and maintaining a positive HSEQ culture with a strong understanding of behavioral safety management.
- Able to multitask under demanding situation.
- Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and prioritize work schedule.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate and collaborate in a team environment.
