THE ROLE
The Manager, Aboriginal Cultural Safety and Engagement is a newly created position that will be central to the Human Services Regulator's regulatory oversight of Aboriginal cultural safety within in-scope human service organisations and the regulation of in-scope Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations.
The position will also take a lead role in engaging with the Victorian Aboriginal community more broadly to maximise the Regulator's effectiveness in safeguarding the rights and wellbeing of Aboriginal services users.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

- Manage and lead the Aboriginal Cultural Safety and Engagement (ACSE) team, ensuring individual and team responsibilities are clear, communicated and acted upon.
- Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of a culturally safe framework that enables the effective regulatory oversight of Aboriginal cultural safety within in-scope human service organisations.
- Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of a culturally safe and effective approach to the regulation of Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations.
