About VMIA
Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) is the Victorian Government's insurer and risk adviser, covering the people and projects that help Victorians thrive. We're an agency in the Department of Treasury and Finance portfolio, established under the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority Act, and report to the Assistant Treasurer.
We provide insurance and risk advice to government departments and agencies, with more than 4,600 clients, ranging from small community service organisations to public hospitals, schools, and core service providers. We also provide domestic building insurance to builders, giving Victorian homeowners peace of mind for building projects valued over $16,000.
We help our clients prepare for, prevent, or reduce the impact of harm. When things don't go to plan, we help clients restore services and recover quickly.

Your role
Your role is to deliver an integrated suite of client capability services that contribute to VMIA's harm prevention and recovery objectives.

**Day-to-day responsibilities include**:

- Codesign and deliver a program of client capability services, including:

- Risk Maturity Benchmark
- Client Learning Program
- Coaching clients
- Monitor client feedback via formal and informal channels.
- Contribute to the day-to-day operations of client capability team e.g., scheduling events, organising internal and client communications, planning client engagements.
- Contribute to updating client resources.

You'll be part of a team that has a very positive culture of mutual respect, assisting and contributing to achieving aims and objectives of the team and others, and open and constructive dialogue to improve services.
Your role reports to the Manager Client Capability, within the Risk Services Division.
Who you work with
- You work closely with members of the Client Enablement team, as well as other teams in the Risk Services and Insurance Services Divisions.
- You communicate and consult regularly across VMIA to understand trends, market needs, changes and new opportunities or initiatives.
- You build constructive working relationships with partner organisations, suppliers, and clients.

About you
- You have a track record of delivering high quality client services in the risk management, audit, compliance, and insurance field/s.
- You have contemporary risk-management knowledge and the proven ability to recommend effective risk management solutions.
- You have highly developed communication and interpersonal skills and proven client relationship management experience.
- You have successfully collaborated with professional people across multiple organisational levels and in environments undergoing constant change to achieve objectives.
- You appreciate the complexities and nuances of public sector management, having operated successfully in such an environment before.
- You hold a tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Finance, Education, Health, or another relevant discipline or can demonstrate an equivalent level of experience.
- You hold tertiary qualification in risk management.
- You may also hold professional membership with a risk management or other relevant organisation.
