Structural Lead, Canberra

We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to lead our structural team of Engineers and Drafters in Canberra. **Your Main Responsibilities**

You will manage and oversee the development of staff and staffing projections for ongoing and future projects within their team, while maintaining a positive relationship with current clients, and works to develop sales and marketing opportunities for the future pipeline.
- Assume responsibility for management and profitability of multiple complex large scale projects including pricing, tender submissions, technical documentation, project scheduling and monitoring progress, resourcing, meeting deadlines and budgets
- Responsible for the development, management and training of staff including recruitment, selection and remuneration
- Manage the technical and contractual aspects of projects to ensure technical requirements are met and performed in compliance with legal and regulatory obligations, TTW policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, as well as establish own client database
- Manage and lead the production of designs, documentation, specifications, fee proposals, reports and other documentation to meet client requirements for projects of various levels of complexity
- Assist in the establishment of and monitor adherence to discipline-related policies and procedures
- Lead and effectually manage staff by modelling and driving a positive, one TTW culture
- Guide colleagues on best practice and share technical expertise within TTW

**About You**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Architecture or equivalent
- Membership with Engineers Australia and CPEng
- Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in engineering design in a consulting environment
- Ability to scheme up major projects
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team
- Excellent understanding BCA requirements and relevant Australian Standards
- Demonstrated project management skills to deliver on time, on budget and to client requirements
- Strong business acumen
