**Position overview**

The _Associate - Financing _position will assist with the structuring and raising of finance through bank and capital markets for QIC Infrastructure’s managed funds and new direct infrastructure asset investments. This person will also provide assistance with the financing requirements of direct investments post acquisition, manage key internal data / precedents and associated client reporting and otherwise support the activities of the QIC Infrastructure business and Financing team. This will involve financial modelling, analytical work, drafting presentations, reviewing financing documentation, maintenance of dashboards and credit benchmarking.

**About the role**

We are looking for someone who particularly enjoys analytics and wants to work in an outstanding and high performing team, where the remit has a global perspective that covers many sectors across core and core-plus infrastructure.

The role will include the following responsibilities:

- Assisting in structuring and raising finance through bank markets and/or debt capital markets for new and existing investments and funds.
- Assisting in the review and negotiation of legal financing documentation.
- Financial and credit analysis (including financial modelling, sensitivity and scenario analysis).
- Managing external advisers’ ( _e.g. _, legal, financial, tax) input into QIC Infrastructure financing processes.
- Assisting with investment decisions including capital structure analysis, credit risk assessment and valuation analysis.
- Assisting in the review and analysis of any treasury, covenant and/other or financing related matters in respect of QIC Infrastructure’s direct investments and funds.
- Tracking and presenting key financing data, metrics and documentation precedents within the QIC Infrastructure business.
- Preparation of client reporting and marketing materials relating to financing matters across the portfolio and general debt market conditions.
- Monitoring financing trends in bank markets and debt capital markets and assess their impact on and/or opportunities for client infrastructure portfolios / investments.
- Developing and maintaining relationships within the infrastructure investment and financing industry.
- Assisting with maintaining a cohesive and productive Infrastructure team.
- Depending on the nature of the asset management or investment opportunity task, some travel is likely to be required.

**About you**

This role could be based in either Brisbane or Sydney. You will also have the following background knowledge and experience:

- Financial or commercial experience with some knowledge of the infrastructure industry.
- Strong numeric skills, including financial modelling and analysis.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify and critically analyse key business issues and strategy.
- Project management experience - able to participate in broader workstreams by identifying priorities, establishing time frames and completing or adjusting where required.
- Ability to prepare structured business reports, interpreting complex material and make decisions based on imperfect information.
- Intermediate MS Word and PowerPoint skills.
- Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Economics, Business or Finance or related equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with key financing documentation ( _e.g. _, facility agreements, common terms deed).
- Experience within (or managing) lending institutions and/or rating agencies.
