We’re looking for a Lifestyle Assistant to work in our residential home in Gisborne Oaks, Gisborne. You will support the implementation of our creative and engaging lifestyle programs. You will play a critical role in helping our residents live their best lives and achieve their personal goals. This is a part-time role working on below shifts:

- Monday - 12:45 pm - 5:15 pm
- Wednesday - 12:45 pm - 5:15 pm
- Thursday - 12:45 pm - 5:15 pm
- Tuesday - 9:45 am -5:15 pm

**Some of the ways you’ll make a difference**:

- Assist with the provision of recreational and social programs that enhance the well-being of our residents
- Support the Lifestyle Coordinator in the orientation of new team members
- Assist each resident individually in accordance with the lifestyle plan document and ensuring information is recorded accurately
- Ensure all programs meet both residents’ needs and accreditation standards
- Demonstrate an understanding of the cognitive, social and spiritual needs of our residents and their families
- Engage our residents and encouraging them to be part of their local community
- Assist with meaningful and enriching activities that provide choice to each person

**To help you achieve this, ideally you’ll have**:

- Qualification in Community Development, Recreation or Disability Studies (i.e. Certificate IV in Lifestyle and Leisure)
- Demonstrated understanding of Leisure and Lifestyle programming and Aged Care Quality Standards
- Proficient in working autonomously and within a team environment
- Empathetic and can build strong connections with residents and their loved ones
- Honest, helpful and dependable - a great asset to the team
