**Alcohol and other Drugs (AOD) Testing Officer**

**Location**: Emu Plains NSW

**Position**: 1x Temporary Opportunity - 12-months

**Salary**: Grade 3/4 - $82,193.00pa - $90,001.00pa plus superannuation + leave loading

**Your Role**

The Alcohol and other Drugs (AOD) Testing Officer undertakes the delivery of random and target Alcohol and Other Drugs testing of organisational employees, to facilitate compliance with legislative requirements and the CSNSW duty of care obligations.**

**What you’ll do**

As part of the AOD Testing Officer role you will be required to
- Undertake, with mínimal supervision, individually or as part of a team, work in an ethical and consistent manner, random, mandatory or targeted alcohol and drug testing of employees in any CSNSW workplace as authorised by an appropriately delegated officer.
- Ensure that CSNSW AOD testing related policy and protocols are implemented comprehensively, including the maintenance of privacy of affected employees and confidentiality of all information.
- Undertake appropriate research into the harmful effects of AOD on employees’ health; provide input into the ongoing development of procedures and guidelines and deliver promotional / educational programs in relation to ADO policy and related issues to enhance service delivery.
- Prepare reports and correspondence and follow administrative systems and processes to ensure that all information / testing data is stored accurately and correctly and is accessible as required.
- Ensure all AOD testing equipment is calibrated correctly in order to generate correct test results.

**What we’re looking for**

**Essential Requirements**
- Current certification for AOD testing and pathology collection or willingness to obtain post commencement of employment.
- Current driver’s license and preparedness to drive a vehicle in the course of performing the role.
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout NSW at short notice as necessary.
- Willingness to work shifts across any 24-hour period including weekends and public holidays.
- Willingness to remain on intra-state operations for up to 5 consecutive days with regional accommodation.
