Community and Learning Centre Leader

An amazing 3-month opportunity to work in a diverse and supportive local government community centre in the Northern Suburbs.
- **Team leading/ management experience will be required**:

- **Assist with the delivery of further education for community members**

Are you a determined and driven leader who would like to use their abilities to manage the day-to-day operations of a community centre? You will lead a team that values diversity and prides in putting the needs of community members and their wellbeing first. You will be coordinating the delivery of adult community and further education, and neighbourhood house programs within a social justice framework.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Working with the team to ensure the community centre is maintained to a high standard
- Developing an engagement and communication plan to promote centre programs and activities
- Maintaining a positive image to uphold the reputation of the council
- Analysing resources and enforcing change when required

**To be successful you will have**:

- Previous experience in community leadership or a management role is desired
- A desire to develop and maintain a great team culture
- Local government experience is not required, but is beneficial
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to identify and promote changes for the benefit of community members
- Proactivity and positive attitude towards work
