**About the opportunity**:
The Revenue and Economics Branch is responsible for providing advice on state revenue matters, including state taxes and Commonwealth-State financial relations as well as providing accurate and timely advice on economic conditions and economic forecasts. The Branch contributes to the Government's economic policy and provides advice on economic strategy with the aim of maximising economic opportunities for South Australia.

Reporting to the Director, Revenue and Intergovernmental Relations, the Manager, Revenue plays a pivotal role in providing high-level advice on all aspects of tax policy and revenue estimation integral to the State's budgetary position.

Further, the Manager, Revenue, will:

- Support a small team responsible for providing advice on revenue policy and estimation.
- Undertake analysis of revenue options available to Government, conducting relevant research and undertaking quantitative modelling of revenue potential and incidence.

**About you**:
To be successful you will:

- Hold a tertiary qualification in Economics, Commerce or a related field.
- High degree of initiative, motivation and ability to inspire team members in the Branch.
- Proven ability to analyse complex issues in an independent and logical way leading to the formulation of solutions, including strategies or improvements.
- Strong ability to prepare clear, concise and comprehensive advice on complex issues and communicate effectively, including responding to enquiries from Ministerial staff.
