**About the Role**: The Nursing and Midwifery Director (NMD) provides high level contemporary strategic, operational and professional nursing and midwifery leadership and management for the Midwifery and Children's services across the Logan and Beaudesert Health Service. The role provides the coordination of and is accountable for service delivery, human and material management, expertise in the health care team, communication and highly developed data analysis and fiscal management to deliver safe, quality, effective and efficient healthcare provision. The role is co-chair of the Women's Health Service with equal accountabilities for service delivery and outcomes with the Medical Director Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The position also shapes corporate and clinical governance in partnership with the Logan and Beaudesert executive team.
**About the Unit**: The Logan and Beaudesert Health Service (LBHS) is the primary provider of public hospital services to the communities of the Scenic Rim Shire and Logan City. The Women's and Children's Service Line interfaces with all maternity areas in the LBHS and Metro South Health. Facilites include:

- Logan Hospital, a 410-bed secondary teaching hospital that provides acute medical, surgical, orthopaedics, renal, cardiology, rehabilitation, maternity and other specialty services for adults and children.
- Beaudesert Hospital, a 22-bed rural hospital with procedural and birthing services.
