**The Role**
Are you a high performing professional with experience in commercial, contracting or sustainment functions within a dynamic and complex environment? Are you looking to work closely with senior executives and pursue opportunities to deliver capability in support of Australia’s National Interest?

We have an exciting opportunity for a commercial management role in Air Force Training Group (AFTG) in Melbourne. You will join a key team that leads critical programs within Air Force, providing complex contracting, capability sustainment and reporting support to AFTG senior executives and the wider organisation. As the primary point of contact for AFTG Commercial matters, you will have a crucial role in:

- Supporting the delivery AFTG outputs through efficient and effective contract and capability sustainment arrangements
- Leading the planning, management and reporting of AFTG specific sustainment product schedules
- Managing CASG sustainment performance management systems against required outcomes to enable senior executives in Air Force to make informed decisions and prioritise resources
- Leading and managing contract and commercial support to ensure compliance with Commonwealth requirements and develop strategies to address potential risk in funding of AFTG outputs
- Supporting AFTG senior executives by providing detailed commercial advice that is cost conscious and focused on cost effective options to achieve outcomes
- Monitoring business performance across AFTG and developing remediation strategies as necessary
- Engaging and communicating with stakeholders to identify, respond and provide advice to achieve AFTG business objectives and outcomes
- Identifying opportunities for organisational improvement.

Headquarters AFTG (HQ AFTG) is responsible for providing strategic planning, policy guidance, and support Commander Air Force Training Group for the management of Air Force training.
