**Our Journey**:
Support Services is responsible for the provision of non-clinical services that includes food services, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, central production kitchen, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services.

We are currently recruiting a part-time Supervisor (PM Shift) to join the team at Cranbourne

**PM Shift**
Thursday and Friday 15.30 - 00.00
- (32 hours per fortnight)_

**A Day in the Life**:
The General Services Supervisor is responsible for the afternoon supervision of Patient Service Assistant (PSA) and Environmental Service Assistant (ESA) employees and works to assist the General Services Leadership Team in meeting operational objectives. In this hands-on role you will also be required contribute to the team as a qualified PSA and assist with PSA & ESA duties as required.

Responsibilities include: (but not limited to):

- Lead a team of PSAs & ESA’s in their delivery of services to patients, clients and stakeholders
- Compliance to relevant standards
- Achievement of accreditation for areas of responsibility
- Achievement of service Key Performance Indicators
- Delivery of high-quality customer focused services
- Manage hospital-wide cleaning and patient movement requests

Skills and experience gained managing a team within a patient services cleaning role of a large organisation will enable you to strive for excellence. To support your success in this role, we are looking for you to have:

- A competent level of verbal & written communication skills
- Effective organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments
- A “Can Do” attitude with the capability to problem solve and troubleshoot
- The ability to maintain the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment
- Excellent customer services skills to provide a personable approach to our patients and visitors at Monash Health

**What You Need**:

- Certificate III Health Services (Essential)
- Previous leadership experience supervising /managing a team (Essential)
- A high standard of demonstrated experience in customer service and cleaning in a healthcare environment
- The ability to develop and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders including staff, volunteers, and customers
- Able to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling
- Clear understanding of the Victorian Public Hospital Cleaning Standards
- Ability to understand, follow and implement written instructions and company procedures
- Basic to intermediate computer/digital skills
- Excellent understanding of infection control procedures
- Excellent understanding of patient identification procedures
