**THE OPPORTUNITY**:
As part of the continued growth our internal Safety Management Team, ERM ANZ has an opportunity for a junior Health & Safety coordinator to join our global consulting firm in Melbourne and become part of our internal capability.

**ROLE PROFILE**:
The primary function of the H&S Coordinator is to coordinate H&S initiatives (determined by both APAC and global H&S functions) and to help to deliver H&S obligations to the company within the ANZ Business Unit. Furthermore the role will look at unifying and strengthening the individual approaches to safety within the Business Unit.

The role will also form part of the Safety Management Team within the ANZ BU and will facilitate a unified safety approach to all ANZ offices and to APAC as a whole. This role will include travel to other ANZ offices where required.

The secondary function of the H&S coordinator is to, from time to time, consult externally to ERM’s clients as part of the larger ANZ consulting team. Consulting service is not limited to the Health & Safety space and is flexible across other ERM services in the business.

Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

- Administrative support to our H&S Performance Statistics
- producing statistical reports, facilitating closure of incident roles and maintain database
- Plan/ Deliver global and regional safety initiatives, initiating improvements where needed
- Accountability and facilitator to ANZ’s H&S Training: Including adherence to training plans, global KPIs, H&S training records and the go-to person for H&S policies, practices and procedures, and programs (SSC, OFP)
- Reviewing TRA’s in the ANZ business
- Review, help with, development of ANZ Health & Safety Plans, ANZ Job Hazard Analysis forms
- Follow up, close out and review of ANZ Corrective Actions (CAPA)
- Coordinate partners for the ALAP program in ANZ
- Coordinate Safety Committee meetings for each office
- Coordinate ANZ BU Safety Committee
- Facilitate common approach to safety within the BU.
- Helping with bid preparation
- Help to trouble shoot unique safety risks to the business unit
- Perform Yearly system audits, and under spot audits as needed
- Incident investigation / route cause analysis
- Supporting project/proposal teams in carrying out specific tasks relating to proposals preparation or projects execution (pertaining to secondary function)
- Carrying out all activities in line with ERM and client procedures, processes and systems whilst working in an office or during supervised fieldwork. (pertaining to secondary function)
- Support client project team members to ensure successful delivery and outcomes by carrying out all activities in line with ERM and client procedures, processes and systems. Facilitates the flow or distribution of work/information/materials within or between projects in order to ensure schedules/deliverables are met (pertaining to secondary function)

**REQUIREMENT**:

- Undergraduate degree in related area / further safety studies (NEBOSH or equivalent) or demonstrated at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders to establish a strong professional relationship and influence behaviors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to innovative, problem solve and perseverance in working solutions to meet goals and objectives in an ambiguous environment.
- Act in the best interest of ERM at all times. Complies with all company policies and completes company requirements in a timely manner. Has an appropriate understanding of ERM’s goals and strategic direction, and stays informed on key company information and status. Maintains conditions that ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
