As a Support Worker at Mimosa Care, you will play a crucial role in assisting and empowering our participants to lead fulfilling lives. You will work closely with individuals with diverse needs, providing practical assistance and emotional support. Your dedication and compassion will significantly impact the lives of those we serve.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide one-on-one support to participants, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
- Assist with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Promote independence and self-sufficiency by encouraging and teaching life skills.
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment where participants can thrive.
- Maintain accurate and confidential participant records.
- Communicate effectively with participants, their families, and the care team.
- Respond to participant's unique needs and challenges with empathy and patience.
**Qualifications**:
- Cert III/IV in Disability or equivalent.
- NDIS Screening Check
- NDIS Induction Module
- NDIS Orientation Module
- Previous experience in a support worker role or a related field is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on others' lives.
- Ability to adapt to various participant needs and preferences.
- First Aid and CPR
