Production Horticulture: Fieldwork and Picking

**Essential Requirements**:

- Manual driving license
- Full Australian working rights
- Minimum three years experience in a production horticulture management position
- Forklift ticket
- First Aid Certificate
- Cert III in production horticulture or equivalent

**The Position**:
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, hard working individual to join our team as the Fieldwork and Picking Manager. In this position you will be managing a team within a range of 10 to 150 depending on the time of year to complete pre-harvest, harvest, and post-harvest jobs.

Your key responsibilities will be:

- Coordinate and liaise with directors to form operation plans regarding fieldwork and harvest schedules for the coming season
- Implement daily work schedule from pre-planting through to post-harvest
- Manage and oversee a team up to 150 workers, coordinating and relocating to different areas daily to ensure fieldwork is running efficiently and productively
- Train new team members and monitor performance of all staff to ensure consistent efficiency and productivity of the fieldwork implemented
- Work closely with department heads daily to optimise production
- Constantly monitor fieldwork and picking production costs and adjust as needed
- Monitor plant health and report any problems to relevant department heads
- Maintain and monitor operational health and safety requirements
- Oversee welfare of all staff within your team including individuals living onsite
- Liaise with other departments to organise transport and appointments for staff members who live on site

**To Excel in our team**:
This role is a hands-on farming position with year-round work and requires you to work outside in rain or shine. As our berries come seasonally through the winter months this position requires flexibility in working hours to meet peak work demands. $60,000 - $75,000 per year + Super payments

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

- Bullsbrook, WA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
