Packing Room Manager

**Job Type**: Casual with Full-time hours with potential of going on salary

Company Overview: Ti Horticultural is a leading agricultural company specialising in the cultivation and distribution of fresh strawberries. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products to our customers while maintaining sustainable farming practices. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Strawberry Packing Room Manager to join our team and oversee the efficient operations of our packing facility.

Job Description: As the Strawberry Packing Room Manager, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all activities within our packing room. Your primary objective will be to ensure the smooth and efficient packing of strawberries while maintaining the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for managing a team of packing room staff, organising workflows, and implementing effective processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and lead a team of packing room staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Coordinate and oversee all packing operations to ensure timely and accurate execution.
- Monitor and maintain product quality throughout the packing process, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Develop and implement efficient packing room workflows, optimizing productivity and minimising waste.
- Maintain inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure adequate supplies are available.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of packing equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as harvest management and logistics, to ensure smooth coordination and communication.
- Monitor and analyse packing room performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement appropriate solutions.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a managerial role preferably within the agricultural industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
- Proven track record of implementing process improvements and optimising workflows.
- Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain principles.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with extended hours during peak seasons.

**Experience**:
