**The Opportunity**

Nextt has an immediate opportunity for a Van Driver/ Support Worker for our Day Community Program across Brisbane's Bayside Suburbs. The role will involve driving a Hyundai Imax Van from our Mount Gravatt office to the Bayside suburbs, picking up our clients for the Day Community Program, driving them back home, then returning the van to Mount Gravatt. Shift times range from 7:30am to 3:30pm.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Current Full Car Licence
- Ability to drive vans or long vehicles
- A passion for supporting people to reach their goals
- Compassion for people with disability and/or mental illness
- Professional or lived experience supporting someone with a disability
- A minimum of Cert III in Mental Health/Disability/Community Services/Individual Support/Nursing or higher

**The role may involve**
- Assistance with community access and recreational activities
- Personal care
- Behavioural and Mental Health Support
- Light domestic duties such as meal preparation and cleaning
- Manual handling and the use of wheelchairs & hoists
- Transportation and social engagement

**Essential Criteria**
- The legal right to work in Australia
- 5 year demerit point report
- Clear NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check - Employee
- Valid Australian Driver licence with reliable transport
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Proof of Covid-19 vaccination
