**About the role**
We're not just about removing - we're building, we're connecting, we're revitalising, and the Cost Control team at LXRP are busier than ever. We are on track to remove 110 level crossings across metropolitan Melbourne by 2030 and we also recently acquired the Geelong Fast Rail Project. As such, we need a new Cost Control Officer to join our team at our West Program Alliance based in Footscray.
Reporting to the Senior Cost Controller, you'll be responsible for assisting the Cost Controller in maintaining the Project Controls System to ensure data integrity and accurate reporting is provided in a timely manner, as well as;
- Assist the Cost Controller in the preparation of the monthly financial reports.
- Assist the Cost Controller with maintaining staff resources and FTE forecasts in EcoSys.
- Processing of monthly Alliance and Contractors Progress claims including checking compliance with the Contract.
- Managing payment claim issues as they arise.
- Entering progress claim data in the Oracle Unifier system.
- Assist in the preparation of the Owner participant progress claims.
- Assist with processing invoices including cost coding.
- Preparation of month-end accruals and submission to finance.
- Support the Work Package Team by undertaking necessary internal tasks as required.
This is a 3-year fixed term, full-time position, paying a salary between $91,418 and $103,725 plus superannuation. The role will be performed in a flexible working arrangement with a combination of working from home and our offices in Footscray & the CBD. (2 days from home, 2 days from Footscray, 1 day from CBD).
**About you**
You are a self-motivated, high performer with direct experience in the cost control field on major infrastructure projects, with exposure to a major transport infrastructure project being highly desirable.
Prior experience in project controls, cost forecasting, cost estimating, quantity surveying, or project accounting and a relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering or Quantity Surveying is also highly desirable.
As the ideal applicant, you will demonstrate excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills, together with solid interpersonal and communication skills.
